Archaeological Museum of Delos

Delos Museum was built in 1904 and was funded by "the Archaeological Society." The original building consisted of five western rooms. More rooms were built in 1931 and then again in 1972. During the same period the exterior of the building changed a lot because archaeologists wanted to “neutralize” the typically "industrial" elements and make the museum more “distinctive”.
