The Archaeological Musem of Andros was designed by architect Stamos Papadakis, built in 1981 and sponsored by Basil and Elise Goulandris foundation. The exhibition includes the following collections:

• Collection of findings from the Geometric settlement of Zagora
• Collection of sculptures from the Archaic to the Roman era
• Collection of inscriptions
• Collection of sculptures from the pre-Byzantine and Byzantine era

The annex of Kaireios Library – “House of Michael E. Kidonieos” is a neoclassical mansion that has been fully restored and is open to public since July 2002. The inauguration of the building as well as the exhibition “Andros and Cyclades – Exhibition of Maps” took place in the summer of 2002. The maps belong mainly to the library, to Mrs. Samourka Margarita but also to various collectors. The whole building belongs to the library and serves many purposes.

The Olive Mill of Pitrofos, also known as “vida” (=bolt) of Pitrofos, is part of a two-storey building. It is a fine example of a small pre-industrial and animal-powered oil extraction unit. Many such industries can be found on the mountains of Andros. They operated during the ‘60s and served the local market. The particular olive mill is quite particular. Contrary to the majority of olive mills, Pitrofos oil press consists of many departments. The building dates back well before 1857.

The Tower of St. Peter of the Hellenic era (4th – 3rd century B.C.) is one of the best preserved towers of Cyclades. It is a cylindrical building, 20 meters in height, and the diameter of the base is 9.40 meters. It is entirely constructed of local slate. There is an interior staircase that leads to at least five floors.

The tower is built on a very privileged position as it dominates the valley of Gavrio and overlooks the sea and the ships. Also, around the tower, you can find the ancient copper mines which were still in operation until the beginning of the century.
