The aquamarine colors of the sea invite you to discover the wonderful underwater world. Milia is a beach in a small cove hidden in a dense pine forest. You will see the blue and sparkling waters among the pines as you start walking towards it through the forest.

Mikros Mourtias

The "little brother" of Megalos Mourtias (Mikros meaning “small” and Megalos meaning “big” in Greek). It is located on the southwest side of the island. It is a beautiful beach with crystal waters that offers peace and tranquility to the visitor.

Votsi

Votsi is a fishing village that resembles a maze of narrow streets and alleys. It has a semi-circular natural harbor formed by the surrounding cliffs. Small fishing boats are either tied to the dock or anchored at various points in the bay.

Steni Vala

Steni Vala is a fishing village located on the southeast side of Alonissos, about 10 km from Patitiri. The path to this little village passes through dense pine forests and olive groves and offers magnificent views of the bays of the southeast coast. You will be impressed by the landscape as you will be following the winding road overlooking the sea and the uninhabited islands opposite the beach.

Kastanorema

On the northeast side of Alonissos you will find Kastanorema canyon. The canyon begins at a location called Kastania which is like a little narrow riverbed which soon turns into a winding gorge that crosses the landscape between steep cliffs and rocks. Although the terrain is very rocky, trees and shrubs can be seen everywhere. There are many maple trees in the canyon and around November, when the leaves of the maple trees get an orange color, the landscape is absolutely breathtaking.

Kira-Panagia Monastery

Kira-Panagia or Pelagonisi, is the largest uninhabited island in the Northern Sporades. Southeast of the island you will find the monastery, a glebe of the Monastery of Great Lavra on Mount Athos, built in the 16th century. It is a typical sample of an autonomous, post-Byzantine monastery. The old olive press and windmill are preserved till nowadays.

Kira-Panagia is only accessible by boat. The island has two natural harbors: Planitis (North) and Agios Petros (South).
