Islet of Ro

From Kastelorizo you can go to the islet of Ro, which is located just three nautical miles north of the island. This small island is known all over the world due to the Lady of Ro, who was the only resident for years. The Lady of Ro, whose real name was Despoina Achladioti, contributed greatly to the National Resistance as for 40 years she raised the Greek flag every morning and brought it down with the sunset. She died in 1982 at the age of 92 and a monument was built on the islet to honor her. On the island there are two beautiful beaches, Stroggyli and Agios Stephanos.

Hasapio

Beneath the Fortress at St. Ioannis, you will find Hasapio. This is not really a typical beach. In fact, it is a platform on the rocky coast that allows you to dive in the crystal waters. Even though Kastelorizo does not have big beaches with sand or pebbles, it has clear waters ideal for diving.
