Maurilo

Maurilo is a small village perched on Velouchi at an altitude of 920 m . It is known for its gunpowder mills that played a decisive role in the revolution of 1821. The village is full of springs, wells and streams which were used in the past not only for irrigation but as the driving force of water mills. In the village square you will see the beautiful church of Agios Dimitrios, which was built in the 17th century, while at the entrance of the village there is a traditional stone bridge built in 1900 and a renovated powder mill and watermill.

Pavliani

Pavliani village is a paradise on the slopes of Iti. It is built on 1,050 meters altitude and is surrounded by pine trees, walnut, trees, cherry trees and apple trees. It is also part of the beautiful and rare fauna of Iti as it is very close to Iti National Park.

The village has a lot of vegetation, and the abundance of water also contributes to the production of some products that are famous, such as apples, beans, cherries and potatoes. Apart from enjoying the beauty of nature, you will also be charmed by the picturesque hotels and restaurants.

Agathonos Monastery

It is located just 7km. west of the Ipati. It is a 15th century building, in a wonderful location, where you can also see the great zoological and botanical garden with samples of the flora and fauna of Iti.

The monastery is open every day from sunrise to sunset.
